After the bets are made, two cards are dealt to the player and the dealer. On the first deal, you will be dealt two cards face up. The dealer will have two cards, one of which will be face down. Cards 2 through 10 are scored according to their face value and all face cards are worth 10 points. Aces are semi-wild and can be worth either 1 or 11 points. The highest hand is a blackjack, which is an Ace and any 10-point card. You then have the option to draw/hit or stand, meaning you may either increase the value of your cards or stand with their present value. Doubling Down may be done with a two-card hand, before another card has been drawn. Doubling down means to double the bet and receive only one more card. If you receive a matching pair of cards, you can split the hand and play them as two separate hands with a maximum of 2 splits. To do this, you must place an additional wager that matches the original bet. After splitting the pair you can play each hand independently. When either you or the dealer goes over 21 it is a bust. If both you and dealer bust, the player loses. If you and the dealer tie, it is a push, your bet amount is returned to your balance.

The object of the game is to have the highest valued hand at the table. Hands are composed of five cards. 5 cards are dealt to you and you choose which of the 5 cards, if, any, you want to hold. The cards you do not hold are replaced with new cards to make the final hand. The game is played with a standard 52-cards deck. The cards are ranked according to the value of the number on the card or the value of the face. The ranking from highest to lowest goes as follows: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. The ace can also be used to complete a low straight: A, 2, 3, 4, 5. As well as numbers and faces, there are four different types of suits that are used to determine the value of a poker hand. These are Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, and Hearts. Video Poker hands are valued based on their five-card ranking.
These rankings are detailed below:
(A rank of 1 equals the best)
1. Royal Flush (5 cards, 10 through Ace of the same suit)
2. Straight Flush (5 cards of the same suit in sequence)
3. 4 of a kind (4 cards of the same rank)
4. Full House (3 of a kind plus a pair)
5. Flush (5 cards of the same suit)
6. Straight (5 cards in sequence)
7. 3 of a kind (3 cards of the same rank)
8. 2 pairs (2 sets of 2 cards of the same rank)
9. Jacks or better (a pair of Jacks or a pair of higher valued cards)
